For us, the psychedelic anglerfish was almost a fairy tale. The sighting is known to be extremely rare.
The juvenile we saw in Ambon was less than 2 cm in length. However, it had developed almost the full pattern of the adult. Note though that the fins were still green.
Seeing this small juvenile, and more over, capturing these images was truly a privilege and a dream came true.
